In comparison to the Wireworld Silver Electra 7, the Thunder provided deeper bass, while providing a clarity that allows me to hear details deeper in the soundstage. I always use the same CD's when evaluating new components. On my Kirk Whalum CD percussions were more detailed. The piano on a Marcus Johnson live CD had more "air" with additional weight to the notes.
