Well, I have the pleasure of listening to the 590 and the PrimaLuna HP in the same system, it's as simple as switching the speaker wires from one to the other. There is nothing that the PrimaLuna, even in the triode mode can really do better than the 590. Yeah, the 590 really is that good. Velvety, smooth sound of tubes with the grip of Class A solid state. On the other hand, the 590 does not really trump the PL HP either, they are more similar than different, which says a lot about a solid state integrated.
