How does the 150w PicoPSU cover this requirement?

Has anyone considered adding a more robust linear power supply to your DIY music server or even a mac mini?
The Pico does very well. It's overkill at 150w, but this is the one that has extremely high efficiency value, and also the only one that comes with the already included connections for power.

It has a simple 12V lead-in. I've been toying with the idea of upgraded power supplies as an option, but have yet to get anything on the drawing board. I'm not the biggest fan of the linear option... yet. Heat and size lead me away from that route.
