I have auditioned Salon2’s with the following: McIntosh 452, ATI Signature 6007, Mark Levinson No. 536’s. The verdict, in order of best sound (to me):
1. Mark Levinson No. 536 - best of the three by far. A class above, and then some.
2. ATI Signature 6007 - excellent sound quality and 7 channels at an astounding price for what you get.
3. McIntosh 452 - very nice, but not better than the ATI and not as good a value. But great MC look! Love those meters! And resale value up the wazoo!
