Hi all..New to the forum, and it's a great place!
I've had the UD9004 for a couple of years. It's my first and only BR, so I have nothing to compare it to except the Denon 5910 it replaced.
The Denon had issues with SACD, just didn't seem to like some of them. The 9004 has played all music discs flawlessly, and sounds beautiful. It's major weakness is a tendency to balk on some BluRays from Netflix. I'm sure some are scratched, but many of the ones that hang up look reasonably OK.
Are high end players just more finicky like that?
