I got a set of Ultra SSes for my VPI Classic, I was wondering if it's safe to use these on a wood shelf without anything in between? It looks like Dan has his 2301s using them on a wood shelf, it just seems like a lot of weight to have in such a small area compared to the stock feet with rubber on the bottom. The concern is causing dents the size of the Ultra SS on my rack. Thanks.
