Back to the nice food analogy.
So the 601's might make the CLX speakers dig a little deeper on bass. Little more dynamic. "Front row thing"
BUT while the CLX is a full range electrostatic they are crossing over to the subs for the heavy lifting. Martin Logan has a special crossover setting and download file for this combo. Works great.
So I am thinking if I had true bass drivers maybe a SS amp might give more oomph.
But with powered subs, may be less of an issue. I love some old rock for sure but the majority of my listening is a tad more laid back. Acoustic, female voices, film scores, but then I like to crank it with some 1970's BAD COMPANY
