If noise is a concern you can always run a pre-cool strategy before you use the theater. With all the furniture, walls, etc. pre-cooled the regular house ac will be better able to keep up. The better miniís are pretty quiet when run at low fan.

As those of us that have them the Mini-Splits are Super Quiet if you put them on Automatic and let them cycle to the lowest fan speed.
