I was able to pick up my Sigma XC this afternoon. It replaced the Alpha HC I had been using to connect my Everest to the wall. A long Roon playlist was selected and I went upstairs to kill a few hours. I will admit that I was a bit of a skeptic that I would see much of a difference between the Alpha HC and the new Sigma XC. If the first half hour of listening is any indication the Sigma XC v2 will significantly surpass my expectations. I am getting a bit of "hash" noise during loud passages but I anticipate that will disappear after the cable ins broken in.
I did pick up one each of the Sigma NR V2 and Delta NR v2 cables to dem 0on my DAC and Upsampler. I will wait a few days before inserting those into my set-up. I want to get a better handle on the Sigma XC impact.
