Don - Are you asking about elevating your Valencias because of aesthetics, or are you thinking that their somewhat short stature will result in a soundstage lacking height? Aesthetics aside, when I heard them "back in the day" (with top of the line Marantz electronics) and again about 5 years ago (Shindo V-R and Cortese), the sound stage was not lacking in any way. They were simply phenomenal!
It must be killing you to have to wait so long to finally hear your new speakers, but when that day arrives, you will be thrilled! I wish to God I had purchased the pristine pair I heard 5 years ago. Shame on me.
