For me, hum is the same in terms of loudness or quality regardless of time. The Mr. Ts. are only audible within 2 feet. I can deal with that. But, the Aurieges hums is quite loud. I can clearly hear it at my listening position. With all 3, the humming is annoying at quiet passages.

I hear NO hum on my 15-year-old pre and power amp.
I've heard mechanical transformer noise from several Shindo pieces. This was largely corrected by switching outlets and was due to electrical issues. Currently I hear some noise from my Mr T, very slight, and only noticeable from 2 feet.
