I'm still not sure what you are describing as being sticky. It sounds like you are referring to the tweeter faceplate, not the driver itself. Can you post a pic and add your description? It doesn't have to be too close - just need it as a point of reference for discussion.
Sadly, I am unable to post a photo here (but I can send you one via facebook, if you like ). You are exactly correct: I am referring to the faceplate, and not the driver. Just the plate with the "sonus faber" logo engraved on it. I think it may be weather-related, as here in South FL, humidity is always a problem. The room and condo have AC, of course, but there have been times during the last few years where we lost power for days (during a hurricane, for example, or when we had repairs done in the building), and I am thinking that may have created the problem.
