I've found that sound quality in my system is pretty much equal when comparing playing CD's and streaming CD quality music from Tidal or Spotify. I feel these two options are the best in my system. I haven't tried streaming MQA files from Tidal so I can't comment on it. Streaming FLAC files from an external drive also produces results similar to physical CD's and the streaming services. Vinyl comes in last through my system. I've found all of these things to be component/system dependent and, of course, the source recording and file quality. As it's always been with audio, there are variables with every music source. But to me, the more viable sources the better.
