Not sure if it has two separate processors - I do know the Oppo uses the VRS by Anchor Bay technologies solution which is known as one of if not the best processors for DVD upconversion/scaling and deinterlacing. It is the same processing that is in the Oppo 983, which is very well thought of and recognized as the first player to score 100% passing on all of the difficult video processing tests from Secrets of Home Theater and other various professional reviewers. Speaking of which, the Oppo comes with the new Spears and Munsil DVD calibration and test disc, which has all of the hi-def calibration test patterns and motion/delinterlacing tests you will ever need (this disc also has an info thread over at AVS Forum).
One more quick note about the Oppo - besides being a universal player that truly plays and decodes almost anything, it is also very fast in terms of the interface and how quickly it loads and plays various discs. I have been spoiled by the speed of PS3 up until now but I have used other players and they are painfully slow. The Oppo scores major points with me both with the speed and also the user-friendliness of its interface and menus.
Here is another useful link to an unofficial FAQ that has been put together about the Oppo for your further reading enjoyment - should help answer questions and provide info about the player more thoroughly than I can but if anyone has any more for me that I can help answer please fire away!
