The Alexx's sound great! Full bodied with deeper bass that I had with the Alexias. I'm a very happy camper.
Can anyone think of any risks or hazards keeping the preamp on this setting?
What a humbling experience.
Happy to read that you sorted it out. Why would you be concerned about leaving the preamp set using the high selection? If Burmester didn't say it was harmful I wouldn't worry. When I owned a solid state preamp it stayed on hours with no effect on performance or life span.
