I personally, would not recommend mix and matching different brands of amps to drive different drivers of the same speaker. It would seem to me that it's possible that gain might be an issue, so your bass driver might be playing louder than tweeter or vice versa. To fix it you would need an active crossover - think mixing console, where you would adjust the volume prior coming from the pre to each amp. That's just extra wires, extra components, complexity and other factors all thrown in the mix. I'm not sure I would do it.

I was thinking before of an idea, of a more powerful amp for bass and less powerful amp from the same series for mids and highs. But now I'm not sure if in this setup with amps from same manufacturer, gain would be the same.
