The files are what I used for the staple removal. The original color was a honey oak.The new finish is a red oak stain.I currently have them satin polyurethaned but I might give them a couple coats of gloss urethane from a spray can.
When I finish buying the rest of he upgraded caps I can finish the first speaker and compare it to my stock one.
