Absolutely -- the D100 as a DAC is very good. Mine was one of the "clicking" D100s, however, and despite several trips to the dealer and McIntosh the problems was never solved.

I agree that the 2600 is a superb unit. Really enjoyed my time with it and could have lived very happily with it.
