Sure, of course the law of diminishing returns has been covered many times in the past, but wow, the Relentless monos really take that debate to a whole new level. I've always personally (subjectively of course) thought the law kicks in on amplifiers in the $50,000 price range and we're talking several magnitudes of difference there. I could be wrong, maybe some of the forum members could enlighten me here, but are there any real world speakers out there in current production that would benefit from that kind of power in contrast to a pair of Boulder monos or the aforementioned Pass Labs monos? I guess the big Magnepans or the WAMMs perhaps? I bet they could drive the heck of of the old Apogee grands.
