Well I plugged the headphones into the iPhone X and the sound is significantly better than what I was hearing from my MacBook Pro ! Listening to Diana Krall it is like she is in the room with me, very much the Sonos Faber sound, yes the midrange is colored in a good way as I enjoy her piano playing and sultry voice. Bass is much better that what I was hearing before but not boomy, a tad on the light side but that is probably ok for the type of listening I will be using it for i.e. travel.
