I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Krell Evo 600e monoblocks (USD 37K) vs DD's Momentum monoblocks (USD 45K). I know you preferred the Lamm M 1.2 Ref. Monoblocks when paired with your Sashas (when you had them), but after reading your thoughts above regarding the Sasha/Momentum combo, I was curious if the Momentums are very different from the Evo series.

Phillip, I prefer the Momentum to the Krell by a wide margin. There was not even a hint of sterility with Momentum monoblocks. Can't say they are warmer than neutral either but they sounded well balanced with a nice body and weight through the midrange and nice, extended, sparkling highs without sounding clinical or etched. Bass was spectacular, rich, textured and had excellent control over the Sasha woofers. Audition is a must if you are inclined to spend this much money!
