I've heard the Vento and the Ref Center in a HT I just assembled for a client. Marantz Pre/Pro + Amp.


Even out of the box and listening for a few hours to start break-in there was zero ear fatigue. Leaner bass (again, only on the Vento 896 so it was expected), but tight, focused midrange and non-offensive/non-bright highs. I would put the set and the center in the "neutral" category with clean imaging; the center ref speaker throw/angle is really impressive (it doesn't appear that large of a speaker until you unpack it and try to pick it up).
