Smile New Center Addition

ALL..... Okay, so we now have taken delivery of a B&W HTM3S center speaker to sit between our 802N fronts. Bearing this in mind, I'm thinking about getting an AV-capable receiver that has preamp outputs -- for our Mac MC300 stereo amp. In other words, I'm wondering if we can get an AV Receiver that can act as a preamp for our MC300 amp and, simultaneously, drive the remaining three speakers (in a 5.1 configuration) via three integrated amp outputs.

If we find something capable of doing this, will our stereo listening will suffer greatly? Considering that the only receivers we ever owned were older Macs, we really have no way of knowing what a good multi-channnel AV-capable receiver sounds like. if there's some great receiver out there that can handle this task, please clue us in.
