I saw this today with my wife. I had high expectations. Maybe I am the only one, but I was completely underwhelmed. They did nothing to set up the evacuation story. Zero character development. The camera work was great. Special effects were good. But the same can be said for the Transformers movies, perhaps.
But as far as telling a story, not even remotely impressed. Seems like the movie Pearl Harbor made around 20 years ago. Compelling story but suboptimal (disappointing) theatrical presentation. YMMV.
