A Bluray player? An Apple TV? A cable box?

Most of these sources would have an optical or coax output.

You could hook these up to your current DAC - you just need to set the source devices to convert the audio to PCM 2 channel. Most video sources might encode in Dolby Digital.

My recommendation is to get a Bryston BDA-3 and use it as an HDMI switch/DAC since you are already a Bryston owner
I understand a projector is only a display. My source will be a Bluray player and cable box. My question: is there a better option than running an optical cable from my cable box to the DAC, while still maintaining high quality 2 channel? Will the OPPO 105 provide the same options as the Bryston BDA-3?
