I had previously used Tributaries Silver Series balanced interconnects. They are also very smooth sounding interconnects. I did audition the Wireworld 5.2 Silver Eclipse balanced interconnects. I tried two pair, one pair between the MCD500 and the preamp, and one pair between the preamp and the amp. After a week of switching back and forth one day at a time between the Tributaries and the 5.2 Silver Eclipse, I returned the Silver Eclipse to the dealer. What had initially seemed like greater definition turned into ear fatigue. I found the 5.2 series too bright for my taste. I reinstalled the Tributaries Silver Series, and the listening fatigue disappeared.

When Wireworld introduced the new 6.0 Silver Eclipse series I decided to try them. I am glad I did. I was hoping they were not going to be the same old cables in a new jacket, and was very pleasantly surprised. The new Wire World 6.0 Silver Eclipse balance interconnects raised the bar for my system. The increased definition over the Tributaries was immediately apparent, but this time it was accompanied with a full, well balance delivery of all frequencies from top to bottom, with no hint of brightness over spetral balance. I installed the 6.0 Silver Eclipse interconnects, and never went back to the Tributaries. The Wireworld 6.0 Silver Eclipse balanced interconnects sound spectacular to my ears. I believe they will to you, too.
