Thanks Tim, honestly I have no idea what the damping factor is although I would suspect it's a relatively high number.......the control on the Avalon's woofers is night and day compared to the McIntosh MC 402 that I had with them initially. The bass control and "punch" was one of the first things I noticed when I got the S250 installed.
