HD800s have arrived. Ive been listening to a few of my favorite headphone test tracks and I'm very impressed so far. I've only had about an hour of listening time but initial reactions are that these have the most detail I've heard in a pair of headphones, and the best soundstage since a pair of Jecklin Floats I had years ago. These actually manage to get vocals out in front instead of inside or at the top of my head. The bass is also very fast and clean. They do seem just a little bright, but I'm thinking they just need a little time. So far I've only tried them on the Woo WA6, I'll run them for a couple of days to get some break-in time and then try them this weekend on the Luxman SQ-N100.
