Well I had a chance to have a good two hour listen to the Marten Coltrane Supreme IIs last night. I have to say that I have never heard the Blue Coast Music SACD which was playing through an Orpheus SACD, Audio Note UK M10 Preamp with the two massive Galahad power supplies, Analog Domain power amps sound so real and wonderful
There was no overblown bass or trumpeting or harshness you sometimes find with the flagships which are often too large for the rooms they are demoed in. Now that the Supreme IIs are single towers they should be amenable to more rooms
Definitely a pipe dream speaker here but one of the best I have ever heard. Well done Marten. Btw, the smaller pair of speakers in the photos are the same as mine, the Coltrane IIs.
