Not surprisingly some gnats can carry the tune much better than others.
In all seriousness, it is amazing what one can hear so deep into the recording when sealed out from the room with a pair of high resolution headphones and quality amplification/DAC. There is quite a bit of low level information that gets buried with cables not able to adequately convey the ultra low level details. My Wireworld cable upgrade made me appreciate it even more than ever.
