Using the SPEEDTEST app on my I-phone I get the same performance from any room in my house. Once in a while I loose the WiFi on my Vizio TV but I think that's more the TV than the router. I never have issues with my laptop. My download speed is about 6.7 Mbps which is a bit better than my internet provider says I should get.
