Speaker stands for Focus 160
I have just bought a pair of Focus 160. I need some suitable stands for a modest budget. I am looking at the Dynaudio Stand 3X at a local dealer but he also has a used pair of Atacama HMS 1.1 at a very good price. Dynaudio seem to recommend their Stand 6 for the Focus, but the Stand 3X is recommended for the DM2/7 which has identical weight and size. I plan to load either stand with sand to add stability. Can anybody add a comment on these stands? Does the Focus 160 need a heavy, solid, stand or something lighter?
