Hi Joe,

The most important thing you can do is learn to trust your ears to hear the cues. If you want to lay down tape measures or document levels so as to give you a better understanding of what you have done, that's great. But it is your ears that are the key.

Most importantly, have fun with it and don't get wrapped around the axle. It costs you nothing to go back and correct a previous step or start over. Enjoy!
