I think there's more voodoo than science behind all of this, but I burned in my Classic SE with a load at all times, on the theory of "it can't hurt." Not that I doubt in the least what the CJ rep said, but I'm personally not comfortable running amplification equipment designed to run
with a load
without a load. Call me superstitious. I also believe the break-in source should be music rather than pink/white/other noise, because the former is what you'll be listening to. Again, superstition everywhere (as the song goes).
