Thanks, that's interesting.
I don't disagree with the choice of "no filter" but considering the user manual for the previous generation of players mentions this,
"Using this setting [no filter], high-frequency harmonic components will be output. If noise occurs because of cross modulation from high frequency harmonic components, for example, set “PCMF” to “FIR” or “SDLY” instead." I wonder if this kind of issue doesn't happen with the new generation of players or it's just rare, in general.
