Default Voltage questions when changing rectifiers

Straightwire, I think I read that the input tube's voltages don't really change as the rectifier changes because of regulation. I am curious what voltage those tubes get. I know that a variety of tubes work in that position but surely some will be more closely matched to the supplied voltage than others, right?

Do the output tubes see specific voltages on both the screen and plate for each rectifier? In other words, if we put in a 5ar4 we will get x on the plate and y on the screen but when we put in a 5u4 we get .8x and .8y? If so, I'm curious what x and y are.

I ask because the chart Dennis sent me is a little confusing. It shows that we can use either a 5ar4 or a 5u4 for the 6l6. Was he assuming that we were using a modern 6l6, which are all 6l6c or can we really use a 5ar4 with old 6l6a? He also listed a 606c tube in the same category as the 6f6 and 6v6 for power. I can't find any info about that tube, I assume it's a typo.

Thanks for any info you can share along these lines!
