I think a new spiking and then a re-spiking of an Alexx is a major undertaking. As some of you may know my spikes under my XVX are substandard because of my A-Frame. So there was no way I was going to refuse Wilson's gracious generous offer to re-spike my XVX with the new acoustic diode. I have heard that Wilson has first had knowledge that the acoustic diode does improve the sound of the XVX. However, I am more than pleased with my XVX as currently spiked.
So here is the scenario: "I own an Alexx. I have Stillpoint Ultra 5's under them. A retail 5,400.00 plus tax investment. Next I somehow acquire the new acoustic diode retail cost 3,200.00 to AB compare the two. It took me only an hour or two to determine the tremendous superiority of the Stillpoints.
I too have a hard time believing this.
p.s. I suppose the diodes were sent back to Wilson for a refund or maybe they were demos.
