Closest comparable was a 1967 Corvette Convertible (not 427) that an elderly local man owned since the car was two years old. This car was the very definition of pristine original. Car was red, with black top and interior with just over 50,000 miles.
He wanted $20K which would have all but cleaned out my capital at the time in 1991 and I really didn't have a place to store the Corvette anyway. He wound up selling the car to another local who sold the car for $30K a couple months later. That was one that got away I'll never forget. |
What's the going price for a 67 427 convertible these days? I remember the classic vettes went through the roof some years back and then cooled off a bit.
