Jim.......On the bottom of the Power Plant Premier are two thermostatically controlled, variable speed fans that move air up through a grill in the center of the top cover. I think the heat from a lower unit placed under another PPP may cause the top unit's fans to trigger more often, as the heat from the bottom unit passes through, and combines with the heat from the top unit. I can't be sure about this, since I haven't tried it yet, but this installation idea is something I have been considering.

My second Power Plant Premier will be here this Friday. I have had a mental dilemma going on about where to put it. I really don't want to go any higher with my stack of Mac, so I have been considering pulling the MR85 out of the main system rack to gain enough space for installation in the rack. I may test placing the PPP's on top of each other so that I can offer a definative answer on stacking them, and any associated heat problems that may come from that approach.
