Therefore DSD and DSDse appear to work fine, only older DAC-2 appear to have an issue. Updating should work fine I would think. And typical of Apple... but I won't get into that here...
Thanks, Randy. When Apple released EC there was an unfortunate side effect (bug) affecting USB output for many audio devices, ours included. After months and months, they still did not resolve the issue, making any updated driver moot. At this point, we're still unsure if it is resolved. What we do offer is discounted pricing to upgrade your DAC-2 to either DAC-2 DSD or DSDse, both of which are driverless, forever ending the 'compatible driver' issue.
