I was never entirely clear on the functionality of these units. Does it really rip and store the entire content of the disc as a single .iso so that playback functions exactly as if I'd put a DVD or Blu-Ray in my Oppo, as I have been led to believe?
I've started my media server project this year -- ripping and encoding some 5000+ discs in our collection, storing it all on a 24TB NAS with a Mac Mini running Plex. It's nice to become more intimately familiar with the collection, but *man* this is taking me a lot of effort, too! I'll probably be at it 'til the end of the year...
