One knife doesn't exactly qualify as a collection, but I guess you have to start somewhere. 
I purchased the knife and animal carvings while trekking through Russia a few years back. We had mistakenly crossed the border while looking for the Tuvan Reindeer Herders that inhabit the region. The handle and sheath of the knife, as well as the animal carvings, are from the antler of one of their reindeer. The Tuvans we happened upon were the most gracious people you can imagine. They don't have much, but they offered us all that they had.
