I think my original question was more hypothetical concerning Homage series, and the thread has evolved into addressing concerns I have now with the Cremonas; which is fine.
Right Now I am using a MC-207 for all the HT Channels. I will admit that when I had 501's (Long Story) hooked up to them the bass was almost too pronounced, but I felt that the 501's (which were almost tube-like in their smoothness), when paired with the Cremonas in my room were almost (forgive me) too liquid, too smooth, and too laid back for my tastes. I think that a MC-402 would be just right for them. But again, my MX-135 is not a C-500 or an MDA-1000.
Another problem I have is my room setup. I spoke to 2uberoller about my room setup, and we both agree that my room setup is FAR from what I need it to be, but the problem is that the room is set up with the screen as the focal point of the HT, and it is in the only place it can be. I will see what I can do about that.
