I bought a used DX-5 DSD from a fellow in Beverly Hills which is only about 90 miles from Montecito, so it's not from some distant region. I love it, especially for sending files from Roon to the USB port, but I've gotten the message that a region C player can't play region A discs, and I gotten the message several times that the player can't play an out of region disc. I've had to resort to my Oppo 105D, which in each case played the disc without a problem, as did the Oppo 205. If the 105D and 205 can play the discs why can't the DX-5 DSD?

Is this is a software fix, or does the player need to be returned to Ayre for a fix?
