Thanks for the kind comments. It was a wonderful evening. My first visit to the Ryman, which is a great venue, indeed! The Sadies were first up, and phenomenal from the start. They are a very polished act, and wonderful performers, aside from their musicianship. Definitely top notch. I would go see them as headliners or by themselves. Kurt Vile took a couple of songs to warm up before his voice and playing reached peak but he was outstanding too. I saw Bob Dylan here in Huntsville, right after he was awarded the Nobel, and he took a few songs to warm up, so I’ll cut Kurt some slack. What was nice to see was the reciprocal collegiality and friendship between Kurt’s Band and the Sadies. They each played with the other for at least 3 songs, which was superb! I’ve included a few pics. All in all it was a very fun night, and live music always provides some perspective and appreciation for what this hobby is all about.

Best,
Shrinky
