Does anyone here know if it matters if the operating system the MS300 has on the board is somehow encoded on the hard drive? By this I mean if they are different, does it fail to start up? This seems to be the case but I can't verify my findings. I have a MS300 that was not updated when the servers were operational and I am trying to put a drive from another MS300 that had been updated. When I put it in, I get the flashing red light and it never starts up. Does anyone know for sure?
