I use a Hickok RD Instrumentation 1575 that I refurbished and calibrated and this is excellent for testing and matching power tubes, DHTs, voltage reference tubes and power supply pass tubes, etc. It is however a bit twitchy with small signal tubes such as the 12AX7...hence my decision to pick up a Maxipreamp II. Any comment on the fact that the 12AU7 is listed as a medium Mu tube and the ECC82 as a low Mu tube?
