I didn't say that the PT was hotter with the KT150s, just that I noticed that it was very hot. Since then I've run it with KT88s and 6CA7s and it seems to be about the same (hot) temp. Just hadn't noticed it in the past I guess.
I continue to like to listen to the blues through the vintage 6CA7s. The sound is a bit fuzzier and less defined. Highs a bit less detailed. Makes for a nice night clubby sound. Smooth.
