While Im at it. Finally streamed Tidal master audio from my PC using the USB input in the cambridge 581N. Pretty darned spectacular though I still have to do a very close audition to prove that it differs significantly from simply streaming it directly through the player. Tidal streams 16bit 44khz through the player but will stream 24 bit 192 through the computer. Doing AB Comparison is a little complicating since switching from one to the other pauses the other. AB comparisons between phono and streaming are straightforward. The are fairly close indeed once I matched the phono and the phono pre levels. However, nowadays finding a decent pressing is a challenge.
