On redbook all our recordings are copies from a copy that also is a copy.
Tidal redbook is taken directly from the original master recording. It doesn't lose anything.
All my reedbooks recordings ( +2000 items ) sounds better played from Tidal.
Hi resolution recordings are a little step up but today prices are expensive and as quick digital world is moving on a not far future we will be able to stream hi res recordings too. I payed 50$ for my Kind of Blue DSD recording file.
It sounds better? Yes. But the Tidal version is very enjoyable.
On lower bit rate I have 24/96 recordings files that sounds better from Tidal too.
I'm more than a year without buying a cd and i don't know what to do with more than 2000 cds getting dust on my library.
Just my 2 cents.
PD: I'm from friday ( release day ) rockin' with the Stones Blue & lonsome.
